Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using CanadaCycle services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

Rental Agreement

Eligibility

  • Renters must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid government-issued photo identification required
  • Credit card required for security deposit
  • Renters must sign rental agreement and waiver

Rental Period

  • Rental periods begin at the time of pickup
  • Late returns may incur additional charges
  • 24-hour notice required for cancellations
  • Extensions subject to availability and additional fees

Responsibilities and Liabilities

Renter Responsibilities

  • Use bicycles in a safe and lawful manner
  • Follow all traffic laws and regulations
  • Wear appropriate safety equipment (helmet provided)
  • Report any damage or mechanical issues immediately
  • Return bicycle in the same condition as received
  • Pay all applicable fees and charges

CanadaCycle Responsibilities

  • Provide bicycles in safe working condition
  • Include basic safety equipment with rentals
  • Offer 24/7 emergency support
  • Maintain comprehensive insurance coverage

Damage and Loss

Renters are responsible for any damage to or loss of the bicycle during the rental period. Charges may include:

  • Repair costs for damaged components
  • Replacement cost for lost or stolen bicycles
  • Administrative fees for processing claims
  • Downtime costs while bicycle is being repaired

Limitation of Liability

CanadaCycle's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. We are not liable for:

  • Personal injury or property damage during rental period
  • Theft of personal belongings
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Acts of nature or circumstances beyond our control

Indemnification

Renters agree to indemnify and hold harmless CanadaCycle from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from their use of our bicycles or services.

Payment Terms

  • Payment required at time of rental
  • Security deposit held on credit card
  • Additional charges for damage, late returns, or extensions
  • Refunds processed according to our cancellation policy

Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Prohibited Uses

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Subleasing or transferring rental to third parties
  • Using bicycles under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Modifying or altering bicycles without permission
  • Using bicycles for commercial purposes without authorization
  • Violating any local, provincial, or federal laws

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations with 24+ hours notice: Full refund
  • Cancellations with 2-24 hours notice: 50% refund
  • Cancellations with less than 2 hours notice: No refund
  • Weather-related cancellations: Full refund with 2+ hours notice

Modifications to Terms

CanadaCycle reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
